Island Mermaid Sailboat Charters Island Mermaid Sailboard charters will, under the strict supervision of "Captain Bligh"!, assist any and all sailing enthusiasts to find the right vessel for their sailing needs for a variety of adventures. Rates run half-daily and hourly and are subject to wind and tide conditions. A security deposit is required for sailboat rentals. Day Sails - Day sailing is available on a 30' Morgan sloop, a 32' Pearson ketch "a la pirate"! a 37' Endeavour sloop, a 22' Catalina sloop and for hourly or half-hourly runs, on a 16' Hobie Catamaran. Large parties are accomodated on a 38 passenger catamaran. Sunset Sails - Beautiful sunset cruises may be arranged on available sailboats throughout the summer season. Plan to book ahead. Sailing Lessons - The Island Mermaid especially enjoys sharing her sailing skills with the avid enthusiast wishing to experience Hobie Cat sailing in a safe learning environment on the Laguna Madre or the Gulf of Mexico.
